Beni Bischof — Bambi

After Rambo, Beni Bischof gives an entertaining and unique interpretation of Disney classic Bambi. Both funny and disturbing. Published on the occasion of the exhibition “We Must Go Deep Into The Forest” at Plus-One Gallery, Antwerp, from December 7, 2017, to January 20, 2018. As with Rambo, Beni Bischof watched the film Bambi (Walt Disney, 1942) over and over again while sitting in front of the TV and painting hundreds of works. From hand-written artworks to loose watercolour figures and more abstract shapes, the book and exhibition at PLUS-ONE Galley in Antwerp is an entertaining and unique interpretation of these two iconic films.
